Poorly described on the jacket, this is an excellent family film about a Marine who washes up on a deserted island in the Pacific during WW II and finds he is not alone. Both the marine sergeant (Robert Mitchem) and the Irish nun (Deborah Kerr - nominated for Best Actress 1957) find new strengths within themselves as they struggle to survive through a Japanese takeover of the island and a retaking by the Americans.
